The TwinAir, A Very Low Consumption Car

Online, October 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - To promote this potential and others of the new 500 model, Fiat decided to launch its application for iPad (it will launch the iPhone one in a few months).
This application will be a cross between a game and a presentation in which customers, who will download it for free, can discover all the ecologic characteristics of the car. Everything, from the car to the application, is made in Italy and the program has been produced by Applix, except for the language. To overcome international barriers the application will be in English, although Fiat promises versions both in Italian and in other foreign languages.

But what is this application? The Turin company explains it in a note:
"The new application lets you discover, in a fun and interactive way, the engine's innovative characteristics: eco-sustainability, fuel savings, performance and advanced technologic solutions included in this jewel of motoring technology, which sets it as a new reference point for the (automotive) sector. The 85-horsepower TwinAir 500 is the turbocharged, petrol engine with the lowest emissions in the world: 92 g/Km with a Dualogic automatic gear (system) and 95 g/Km with the manual gear (system). There are two different kinds of navigation: the traditional one with browse-able cards and an animated one, in which the three-dimensional engine becomes an interactive menu."
In this way, Fiat continues with its ecologic policy and claims a prime position as the European car maker with the lowest median value of CO2 emissions in the last 3 years, as recognized by Jato, a world leader in car research.
