The Roker Report Podcast

Top Sunderland AFC website - The Roker Report - Have launched their own Podcast, taking, and indeed talking a fans eye view of all things related to SAFC, each and every week.

Over at The Roker Report we've been busy bee's in the last few weeks. Notably launching a Podcast!

In a similar vein to why we started The Roker Report in the first place, we were frustrated at the coverage, and representation of Sunderland in this media... so we did something
about it.

Sure, there's the SAFC Official Podcast, but have you ever heard it? In short, it's fairly poor. Other SAFC Podcasts died by the wayside such as Box 19 etc, but we aim to offer something none of those actually did/do - An opinion.

The Roker Report is pretty uniquely positioned to do this. We're not tied to Sunderland in any sort of commercial or media sense like say the local papers or radio, who if they said something bad about a player or manager, they might feel the repercussions by not being allowed the access they currently enjoy. Nor would anything official coming from the club dare criticise a fellow employee.

The Roker Report was started by, and written by Fans. It sounds cheesy to say 'by fans, for fans' but it is very apt, as that's exactly what the site is all about, and what we aim to bring to the Podcast as well.

The Podcast is somewhat unoriginally titled "The Roker Report Podcast" however I assure we rejected literally four other suggestions before thinking "sod it, this will do."

The content however, is much better I assure you. Hosted each and every week by Simon Walsh (the Editor of Roker Report) and two other writers (whoever is available from Michael Graham, Dan Williams, David Boyle & Chris Weatherspoon) we bring some top SAFC banter.

Recorded on a Tuesday night, we go over the latest SAFC news, with our own insights on the subjects. We discuss the previous weekends games, and look forward to the next weekends. We take questions from Twitter (@RokerReport) and answer them the best we can, as well as telling you guys what's coming up on the site itself.

So if you're looking for something interesting to listen to about Sunderland. If you feel like us, that 'Three Legends' often talk complete chaff, that other SAFC Podcasts are afraid, that other general football Podcasts just don't give SAFC the time of day - WE ARE YOUR SOLUTION.

Don't just take our word for it though, iTunes recently added us to their 'New & Noteworthy' section, not to mention we cracked the Top 20 of all Sports Podcasts on iTunes!

To get us, just head over to iTunes and search for "The Roker Report Podcast" where you'll find our previous episodes, and new ones released every Thursday morning.

What are you waiting for? Get over now, and enjoy the best SAFC banter week in, week out - only on The Roker Report Podcast.
