The New Wedding Necessity: Personalized, Color-Coordinated Nail Polish

2ChicNails.com debuts website for Brides-to-be, sororities, bat mitzvahs, Spa parties and other special events

After years in the wedding and special occasion fashion business, Denise Mahn and Denise Wash (known as "the Denises") set out to make fantastic nail polish worthy of life's most memorable events.

Sold through their website, 2Chicnails.com, their nail polish is Made in the USA, never tested on animals and "five free" (meaning it is made without Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, Camphor and Dibutyl phthalate). The "Denises" tested their line at Rittenhouse Three Nails and Spa and Pretty Lady salon, both in the mainline suburbs of Philadelphia, with rave reviews from customers and nail technicians for color, coverage and its quick drying formula.

The 2ChicNails concept is a simple one, says Denise Wash. "Great quality nail polish in popular colors customized with personalized labels to make any event unique and oh-so chic. Brides love to color coordinate their weddings with everything from table linens to stationary, flowers and dresses. Now they can include nail polish in their vision for their party and their guests and include a personal statement, thank you or photo."

After extensive customer research, the duo created nail polish to go with popular bridesmaid dress colors from top dress manufacturers including David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo. Colors were named to make it easy for the customer to select the color that goes best with the bride's wedding color. For example, 2ChicNails Chic Apple polish goes well with dresses from David's Bridal that come in the color Apple.

Pamela Hoffman, the company's first customer, ordered "Chic Malibu" nail polish for wedding shower favors to match her niece's Malibu bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal and the couple's groomsmen's vests and ties from Men's Wearhouse. "It will be fun if everyone who attends the shower wears Leah and Tito's color on their fingernails at the wedding," commented Pam. "Leah and I are excited to give her guests a thank you gift that they will appreciate and use -- that's important to both of us."

"The Denises" are hopeful other brides will follow Leah's footsteps and also use their polish for bridesmaid gifts, wedding favors and unique ways to invite their friends to be their bridesmaids. Beyond the world of weddings, the pair have their eyes on Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16 parties, Quinceaneras and spa parties. The company also holds the official license to create nail polish for twelve of the largest US college sororities. "Our college-aged customers love our bright, fun colors," says Denise Mahn. "They love expressing their personalities through their manicure. It doesn't cost much, it's easy to change and it's fashionable and fun."

"You might see our polish soon in a salon near you," commented Denise Wash. "The salons really love it. We customize labels for each one so the 2ChicNails.com name won't jump out at you, but look for our silver salon labels. No other brand looks quite like 2Chic!"
