The Morgen Group is proud to sponsor, "cheeburger for Parkinson's"!
Online, September 18, 2009 (Newswire.com) - The Morgen Group, an online business network connecting entrepreneurs with investors, and Cheeburger Cheeburger Restaurant, will be holding a Team Fox fundraising event to benefit The Michael J. Fox foundation for Parkinson's research; Thursday, October 22nd between 5pm and 8pm.
Guest toting the "Fox Flyer" will dine on some of the city's biggest and best burgers, knowing that 15% of their guest check goes directly to the foundation. Cash donations will also be accepted the night of the event. And for those who don't have time to dine in, yet still want to do their part, don't worry, 15% of all takeout and online orders will also go towards Team Fox.
In the United States, 60,000 new cases of Parkinson's will be diagnosed this year alone. It's alarming statistics like this that prompted Owner Marc Magliarditi of Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurant, and Robert Ray, Founder of The Morgen Group to take action. "We all know someone who has been affected by Parkinson's, either a family member, or a friend," commented Robert Ray. "We just wanted to do our part to help support such a great cause".
While the average age of onset is 60, an estimated five to 10 percent of people with PD experience onset at age 40 or younger. For more information on Parkinson's, or to make a donation online, please visit the Michael J. Fox Foundation @ www.michaeljfox.org
