The Memepunks, a geeky mashup band from London, present a music video based on Men in Hat's Safety Dance and David Bowie's Magic dance from the film Labyrinth. Filmed on a shoe-string budget on location in Wiltshire and Euston, they were even joined by original cast members from the original Safety Dance video made in 1983.

Magic Safety Dance is the second full-length music video made by The Memepunks, filmed on location at the original location of Men Without Hats’ 1983 video for The Safety Dance, and a Labyrinth inspired Goblin Castle specially built for the purpose in Euston, North London. It’s a very funny and respectful 21st century take on two of the classic and iconic music videos of the 1980s.
This epic fanfic style music video was a year in the making; all done on a shoestring budget thanks to the efforts of their multi talented friends who volunteered with set building, crewing, and joining them as extras on the shoot. They were even joined by some of the cast from the original Safety Dance music video, who were more than happy to help recreate the magic of the original film.
Professional party starters The Memepunks band have performed alongside artists such as Voltaire, Professor Elemental, Abney Park and Rasputina, entertained private parties, and even wowed the guests at weddings with their inimitable geeky style.
