DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 28, 2022 (Newswire.com) - Brandon Byers has joined the Law Offices of Cobb Cole as a Litigation Associate. He brings with him extensive experience in litigation representation of both public entities and private clients.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked for the City Attorney's Office of the City of Daytona Beach. Mr. Byers defended various lawsuits in both state and federal court to include negligence, intentional torts, wrongful death, 42 U.S.C. § 1983 civil rights litigation, police misconduct allegations, inverse condemnation, and appeals. Mr. Byers previously practiced environmental, agricultural, and land use law for a firm in Fort Myers, Florida, where he advised developers and property owners of local, state, and federal land use and environmental regulatory programs, sought future land entitlements, and maintained compliance with existing permits. Mr. Byers also worked as an assistant state attorney and assistant public defender in Indiana and Florida.
Mr. Byers obtained his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Youngstown State University in 2002 and his Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida in 2005. He graduated cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2014. Mr. Byers is a member of the Indiana Bar, Florida Bar, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Mr. Byers joined the firm's Civil Litigation Department in April 2022.
