The Joseph Business School, Founded By Dr. Bill Winston, Receives Accreditation by ACCET
Online, January 9, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The Joseph Business School (JBS), founded by Dr. Bill Winston, received accreditation by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) on December 17, 2013. Accreditation is a significant milestone for the business school, which has been operating as an Illinois state-certified school since 1998.
"I am extremely pleased and proud of all the staff and faculty who made this accomplishment happen. Accreditation means that we have been recognized, according to the strictest standards and policies, for providing quality business education and training to entrepreneurs," said founder and President Dr. Bill Winston, a highly successful and award-winning business leader and entrepreneur, as well as globally recognized religious leader.
"The school's accreditation brings tremendous benefits to the school and its students," Dr. Winston continued, "including greater institutional credibility among external audiences such as the U.S. Department of Education, access to government training contracts, and the use of the ".edu" domain for our school website. Additionally, students are now offered more compelling entrepreneurial courses, such as Profit Mastery, and have more options for obtaining employee reimbursement for courses."
The JBS departments included in the school's institution-wide accreditation are: 1) the Business and Entrepreneurship campus program; 2) the Business and Entrepreneurship online program; 3) the Continuing Education and Professional Development Programs; and 4) the Small Business Development Center Workshops. The school underwent months of extensive self-evaluation and curriculum review, while staff collected and submitted the required data and reports to ACCET. As part of the accreditation process, the program and its faculty, many of whom are CEOs, business owners, corporate consultants, and graduates of Ivy League schools, also had to pass an extensive site visit by an ACCET team of peer reviewers.
This grant of accreditation continues the school's recognition by outside agencies that JBS is providing quality education programs to its students. In 2012 the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs approved the JBS campus program for qualified veterans or eligible persons to receive Montgomery GI Bill education benefits to help pay for tuition to attend the school.
The mission of the Joseph Business School is to be a world class, state-of-the-art business school that uses practical and biblical principles to empower adults to develop indispensable skills as successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, equipping them to eradicate poverty in their lives and communities which will glorify God.
