The Green Laundress: Cleaning Greener

The Green Laundress is thrilled to roll out their eco-friendly products to the general public.

Since 2016, this woman-owned minority business has come to be a great resource for families and businesses in search of non-toxic cleaning products. Erica Ahmed, the owner of The Green Laundress www.thegreenlaundress.com has introduced their product line of non-toxic, earth-friendly cleaning products, which are the Multi-Purpose Spray, Laundry Soap and Tub Scrub. Ms. Ahmed’s products were recently featured at The Tots to Teens Expo and in The Spectrum Circle Reception’s swag bag at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The Green Laundress is also the exclusive cleaning product vendor for Young Transportation Services in Bowie, MD.

Cleaning should never compromise your health. If it does, stay dirty.

Ms. Ahmed started developing cleaning products shortly after the birth of her daughter, who was born with sensitive skin. “While I have always been a relatively healthy eater, I had never thought about how toxic our cleaning products are and how they can irritate our skin and other parts of the body until then.” Unfortunately, with very little success with commercial products, her journey to identifying and developing a natural, non-toxic cleaning product line began.

The Green Laundress is dedicated to providing high-quality yet reasonably priced cleaning products to their customers. “Our mission is to educate consumers about the importance of using cleaning products that are good for the environment and their health.” Their unwavering commitment to the well-being of the environment and people is what allows The Green Laundress to continue to grow and be successful.

Erica Ahmed, the founder of The Green Laundress, has a Master of Science degree in Health Education in addition to being a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
