The Forecast Is "Rain" For The LA Pantages Theater.
Online, April 19, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Back by popular demand this May at Los Angeles's Pantages Theater (May 7-12) is the enormously successful "Rain-a Tribute to the Beatles". Getting its name from the B-side of "Paperback Writer", Rain features a thirty-song set performed by a group of season performers who give flawless impersonations of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star. The popular production, which has toured the country for years, follows the Beatles through their entire journey, from their debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show" to the famous Shea Stadium concert and into the later, Sgt. Pepper period.
The Pantages will host eight performances including matinee and evening performances on May 11th and May 12th. The five band members now on Broadway (and who played the Pantages two years ago) are Joey Curatolo (vocals, bass, guitar, piano), Joe Bithorn (vocals, lead guitar, guitar synthesizer), Ralph Castelli (vocals, drums, percussion), Steve Landes (vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica) in 1998 and Mark Lewis, RAIN's founding member (keyboards, percussion). They've mastered every nuance of the original Beatles performances and will deliver a live, note by note performance that will delight long-time Beatles fans, from multiple generations.
