BUFFALO, N.Y., October 6, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Governor Cuomo selected You First Services, Inc (YFS), the makers of SteriSpace™, as one of twelve New York State companies to receive funding to help combat COVID-19. YFS is using that funding to install SteriSpace™ into the first five sites.
SteriSpace™ is a patented air sterilization technology that uses a compressive heating technology to kill all airborne pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria, mold and certain chemicals, with high levels of heat. SteriSpace™ has been proven to show a Sterility Assurance Level of log-6 kill rate, proving a 99.9999% efficacy in a single pass. This level of air sterilization is more effective than traditional air filters, and users do not have to worry about removing and disposing of used air filters which may be covered in live pathogens.
To date, the SteriSpace™ technology was focused on rapid response emergency shelters and remote field hospitals deployed by the U.S. Department of Defense and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Now, YFS will be able to scale its technology to install SteriSpace™ into hospital isolation rooms, government and public buildings, schools, border entry and security spaces, emergency rooms, ICUs, dental offices, patient waiting rooms and other contained spaces.
SteriSpace™ can be installed into an existing building HVAC system, or it can stand alone. It can be custom-built to accommodate different size spaces, airflow rates, and positive or negative air pressure conditions.
