Strongsville, OH, October 18, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Fidato Group LLC, an independent financial advisory firm in northeast Ohio, has exceeded industry benchmarks in both growth in Assets Under Management and client retention. According to The 2016 RIA Benchmarking Study from Charles Schwab, firms who have $100 Million to $250 Million in Assets Under Management have a median compound annual growth rate of 10.2%. As demonstrated below, Tony D'Amico, CFP®, CEO and Lead Advisor of The Fidato Group, says that the firm is exceeding industry benchmark standards, in regards to growth in new Assets Under Management from both new and existing clients, as well as client retention.

D'Amico started in personal finance in 1999 as a life, long-term care and disability insurance specialist. His interest in helping clients plan for their futures grew gradually from there with an eye on starting his own firm. Early in 2010, D'Amico obtained his FINRA Series 65 license. Subsequently, he started his own Registered Investment Advisory firm so he could provide his clients a more comprehensive wealth management experience.

Being located in a suburb of Cleveland – versus a major metropolitan area – created its own challenges for the firm when the founders needed to expand the team. It's not like in a larger market where you can find prospective team members and convince them to come over to work for you."
D'Amico said the key to finding the right team members is to first find the right cultural alignment. "My focus has been people's character, cultural fit, maturity and direction. If you have the right person, you can train them on certain aspects of financial planning or investment management. But you can't train cultural fit," remarked D'Amico.
