The Creative Ham, Directory of Creative Advertising Agencies, Launches

Online, August 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Creative Ham, a hand-picked online directory of creative advertising agencies, has recently launched. The new resource provides an easily accessible list of innovative advertising agencies that show a dedication to creativity in their work.

"There are already ad agency directories out there," said Larry Lee, one of the founders of The Creative Ham. "But we thought that there was room for a different type of directory - through our experiences talking to advertising students and people working in the industry we always sensed that there was a need for an edited directory that showcased the most creative shops. So we made it."

The Creative Ham's "Forever Incomplete List of Agencies" currently includes ad agencies in twenty-five cities. The companies are divided into their respective cities and are listed by name and address.

"We wanted to give our list a sort of tongue-in-cheek name," continued Lee. "We understand that creating a definitive list of creative agencies is madness. So we wanted to be up-front about the fact that our list is incomplete. And will be in the future."

There are plans of growing The Creative Ham in the future to include more cities and more agencies.

"We definitely plan on expanding our list of advertising agencies to include more cities. We have roughly a dozen more planned as of now - but there could be more in the future," said Lee. "We also plan on going back and adding to the currently existing lists."

And while the website is dedicated to editing its list to only include the most creative advertising agencies, the website's founders admit that it is no easy task.

"It's definitely hard to define exactly what a 'creative' agency is - to a certain extent, every advertising agency out there is creative, to a certain extent," said Lee. "And we don't want to step on toes by excluding agencies. We understand that there's a need for every type of agency. We just feel that by including the most innovative and creative agencies in our list, we provide the most value for our visitors."
