Online, October 15, 2012 (Newswire.com) - After choosing this particular song for his upcoming album, Ron wanted to keep it close to the original version so he decided to do one simple thing; Instead of using the original pre-hook line "I'll do anything", he flipped that to say, "God Is Everything!" because it's what he truly believes. After completion, the single and album were brought to the attention of TMG Grace Executives Tom McGee and Bob Tirado and that was it! Ron was signed to the label and soon afterward the label released both his album "Ron C Walters, Here Is My life" and the single rendition "I Can't Go For That". Since his record release, Ron has resumed his schedule of live appearances around the US where he and his music have been very well received by radio, retailing outlets, new and old fans alike. During a promotional visit to Chicago Ron first appeared at the 63rd Street Festival and from that performance he received an invite to perform and be a presenter at the 9th Annual MMWG Gospel Award Ceremony. To his surprise, he was honored with two awards for, Best New Inspirational Artist and Best New Contemporary Artist and with a Certificate of Appreciation.
Before leaving the Windy City, Ron took a photo-op with Congressman, Danny Davis of Illinois and Mayor David Web from one of Chicago's largest surrounding cities, Markham, IL, and he ended his visit with stopping by the fame Jessie Jackson's Operation Push. To add to this auspicious beginning for Ron C Walters, the song, "I Can't Go For That" debuts on Billboard Hot Single Sales Chart at the #25 spot. When asked how he feels about his recent list of accomplishments, Ron replied, "Wow!! Is all I can say! To God be all the Glory" and with that said, you can bet that Ron C Walters, "THE COOLEST DUDE IN GOSPEL" CAN go for that!!
