The Carolina Law Group is pleased to announce attorney W. Hugh McAngus Jr. is joining the team, strengthening the law group's presence in the state and expanding their reach.

"Everyone at The Carolina Law Group is very excited about the addition of Hugh, but probably none more than me," says founding attorney Nihar Patel. "I've been great friends with Hugh since we first met in the nineth grade, and working together is something we've talked about for years."

Hugh brings with him 15 years of litigation experience in the Carolinas with a focus on trucking collisions, serious motor vehicle collisions, and complex litigation. His clients come to him after experiencing a traumatic and often life-changing event, which he's able to help them through while pursuing a fair and just outcome in their case. "It's rewarding to help people through the difficult times in their lives," he says.

Hugh received his BA magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina - Columbia in 2001 and his JD magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2006. He is a Past President of the South Carolina Association for Justice and former Revitalization Board Member of the American Association for Justice. He comes to The Carolina Law Group after 15 years with a prominent Midlands firm, and is licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina.

The move is a good fit for him and for The Carolina Law Group, says Hugh. "Their footprint in the state combined with my experience in complex civil litigation positions us to be a legal powerhouse in South Carolina and beyond."

Hugh will be primarily working out of the Columbia office, the newest location of The Carolina Law Group, which opened in April of this year.
