Planted Table provides a high level of convenience when it comes to being able to heat and eat gourmet plant-based meals as part of a busy lifestyle, without all the packaging waste.
Based in Oakland, Planted Table originally just served the East Bay, but over the past five years their delivery area has expanded to now includes the South Bay, Peninsula, Marin County, Contra Costa County, Alameda County and San Francisco. Meal plans are cooked and packaged at the company's showcase kitchen in Jack London Square, Oakland where executive chef and co-owner, Lauren Mahlke and her team cook pre-portioned, fresh meals with quality local, organic ingredients that are delivered in reusable containers that get picked back up by the company. The menu changes weekly based on the local produce available and all recipes have all been developed by Chef Mahlke, a veteran catering chef and culinary instructor. Planted Table does all the planning, shopping, chopping, dicing, slicing, cleaning up, etc. Dishes are prepared using top quality, fresh ingredients, locally sourced with organic produce. Planted Table then arranges delivery of these meals. As always, clients can also come in to the Oakland kitchen to pick up their meals. Popular meals include Bahn Mi Sandwiches, Plant Based Lasagnas, Vegan Meatloaf, Gyros, Vegan Fried Chicken and beautiful salads. Ten new meals are offered every week.
