Terra Marketing Group Throws Their Support Behind Santas Anonymous This Holiday Season
Online, October 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Internet marketing powerhouse, Terra Marketing Group, is going to help make it a very merry Christmas for hundreds of underprivileged children in Edmonton this year by donating toys to the Santas Anonymous children's charity.
"Every child deserves to open up a nice present on Christmas morning," Jennifer a company spokesman said. "Santa Claus is coming to town!"
Terra Marketing Group is a local company that targets emerging sectors of the Internet marketplace. When the company notices that one section of the industry is growing, the product development team tries to develop improved products and services in that niche. Then, they use their higher quality products to eventually dominate the marketplace. They are also noted for supporting various charities, including World Vision and the Kiva Foundation, that try to help low income or impoverished women and children.
"We feel it is our obligation to try to do what we can to make the world a better place for the most vulnerable members of our society," Jennifer said.
Santas Anonymous was founded in 1955 with the goal of ensuring that even low-income children in Edmonton get the chance to open up a nice Christmas present. They encourage local people and companies to donate new toys at their headquarters. Then, volunteers wrap and deliver the presents on Christmas Eve. Last year they gave out more than 25,000 toys to needy children.
"While most of our charitable efforts have focused on global organizations, we decided that for the holiday season we really wanted to find a worthwhile local charity to support," Jennifer said. "And we really like the idea of making the Christmas season a little better for boys and girls in our province."
Over the past two weeks, company officials said they have been driving back between local toy stores and their office, where they are currently storing the rocking horses, kitchen play sets, Star Wars action figures and other toys.
"We are having so much fun doing this," Jennifer said. "It's really cool to just go into a toy store and buy a lot of fun stuff that you know is going to make a child happy. We've gotten to be on a first name basis with a lot of the cashiers at this point."
Terra Marketing Group officials said they decided to focus on buying traditional Christmas toys rather than electronic games, because they feel that they will have the broadest appeal.
"Every kid loves a rocking horse," Jennifer said. "And we hope these toys make their childhood a little better."
