Teresa Tate Callen is in the process of opening a fancy reserve coffee business in Uptown Alabama. This will be the first cafe of its kind, focusing specifically on millennials and hipsters. Essentially, Teresa Tate Callen aims to gentrify the Uptown area of Alabama. The building in which the cafe will be housed is currently being renovated, and it is expected that the cafe, which will be called Teresa Tate Callen Coffee, will open in the summer.

Teresa Tate Callen says: "The concept of gastro coffee is not completely new. Coffee is a fashionable drink, and people want to enjoy exotic flavors like Kopi Luau, and unusual roasts. But coffee has also become something that is mass-produced, with a Starbucks shop at every corner. I wanted to do something different, something for people who truly enjoy the finer things in life."

"I want people to be able to have a clear palate when they drink coffee, so I will only serve foods that do just that. Things like breads and sorbets will all be on the menu, and I will make sure that they are equally tasty, and equally sustainable, as the coffee that will be served."

What will set Teresa Tate Callen Coffee apart is that it will offer different kinds of roasts and brews, as well as high tech barista machines. These will include nitro cold brew taps, Chemex brewing, pour-overs, and the latest espresso machines. The reserve coffee house is a new concept that serves small batches of coffee, each lovingly brewed for the coffee connoisseur. Teresa Tate Callen adds: "My cafe will be a place for the true coffee geeks. I will only serve complex pours and hard to get kinds of coffee, the stuff that you will never be able to get at a local cafe, or even your nearest Starbucks, in other words."

At the same time, there will be an opportunity for people to have the usual cup of coffee or tea. Standard drinks like Americano, Latte, and Macchiato will all be served there. However, the greatest attraction will definitely be in the gastro coffees, which are hard to find all over the world. And because of this global element, Teresa Tate Callen also wants to demonstrate his contribution to sustainability.

"Kopi Luau coffee is an excellent example of consumerism gone wrong," adds Teresa Tate Callen. "It is said to be the most expensive coffee in the world, because it is made from coffee beans eaten by little bears, which then have to be collected from their excrement. The reason why Kopi Luau (real Kopi Luau that is) is so expensive is because those bears are hard to find in the wild."

She continues: "The problem is that, when Kopi Luau became well known, local people started to cage the bears and feed them coffee beans in order to have a quicker, cheaper way of obtaining the high priced coffee beans. At Teresa Tate Callen Coffee, I guarantee that all my coffees come from sustainable, ethical sources. I will literally travel the world to ensure this."

Teresa Tate Callen Coffee is already gathering a lot of attention, with coffee lovers being excited about the concept, and speculating about what it will be like inside. One Alabama resident says: "I don't know what to expect in terms of decor! Will it be one of those modern places with lots of shiny black, chrome, and mirrors? Or maybe it will have more of a French philosophers' cafes, with lots of dark wood. Either way, I am so excited and can't wait to have my first cup of gastro coffee."

It is expected that Teresa Tate Callen Coffee will open towards the end of June or the beginning of July. It will also be the first coffee bar of its kind in all of Alabama, something that Alabama is pretty excited about. One resident says: "It's as if Birmingham always gets all the new things, but we will be able to proudly say that we will be the first town in the state with a gastro coffee bar!"

Teresa Tate Callen believes that people are experimental in nature and will try the various kinds of coffee that she will be offering. She aims to create an atmosphere in which people are encouraged to do just that, but also one in which they can learn about coffee and other specialty items that he has available. In fact, she also aims to interest people in the process of making coffee, from the beans all the way down to the cup.

To clean the palate of customers, Teresa Tate Callen Coffee will also serve a limited food menu. Teresa Tate Callen says: "I want people to be able to have a clear palate when they drink coffee, so I will only serve foods that do just that. Uptown Alabama, which is currently home to expensive apartments and equally expensive steakhouses, looks like the perfect place for a coffee bar like this one.
