Teen City Stage Dominates at Musical Theatre Competition in Anaheim

Teen City Stage's Team Broadway wins Sweepstakes Awards and brings home 40 trophies from the Musical Theatre Competitions of America which took place in Anaheim, CA on February 6,7 and 8, 2015

Team Broadway’s 45 participating middle and high school students, representing 16 different schools from around the Charlotte area, placed in solo and duet categories, and won First Place in both Revue and Advanced Ensemble group categories for High School, and Second Place for the Middle School Revue.

The group included nine scholarship students who were able to participate thanks to contributions from generous donors to the program. Teen City Stage is committed to making Arts Education available to all, and gifts to our MTCA Scholarship Fund helped students who could not normally afford to participate at competition in California, experience and learn from this amazing opportunity.

We are so proud of all our Team Broadway members, whether they came back with a trophy or not, the adjudication process at MTCA is so constructive that they brought home something even more important - growth as a performer
