TechBridge and Accenture Call on Nonprofits to Share Tech Vision
Online, January 12, 2011 (Newswire.com) - TechBridge, a nonprofit that provides professional, affordable technology services to other nonprofits, announced today that it is accepting applications for the 2011 Technology Innovation Award, presented by Accenture. The award will help a Georgia nonprofit fulfill its creative, technology vision.
"We know that creativity and ingenuity run deep in the nonprofit community", said TechBridge CEO, Kathleen Kurre. "In these challenging times, however, resources are severely limited, so it is more important than ever to help deserving nonprofits increase their capacity to serve our community through technology. We look forward to the inspirational outcome."
The 2011 Technology Innovation Award winner will receive $25,000 in TechBridge services and a $5,000 grant to support the technology project, both underwritten by Accenture, as well as up to $25,000 in donated software. The winner and two finalists will be presented May 7, 2011 during the TechBridge Digital Ball, which will host more than 800 of Atlanta's most influential technology and business leaders.
"This is the tenth consecutive year Accenture has teamed with TechBridge to present this prestigious award," said Craig Ramsey, Atlanta Managing Director for Accenture. "We know there are many deserving and resourceful organizations in the Atlanta community that want to apply technology to improve operations and better achieve their missions."
