Tata BSS is Celebrating the Wonderful Journey of 10 Years
Pune, July 18, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Many of Tata BSS employees celebrating their 10th year anniversary along with the company and still retain the appointment letter from Tata Airlines Private Limited. In the year of inception 2004, the company has started operations as 80 member customer service team for Tata Teleservices. 10 years later there are 11,000 people operating out of 19 delivery centres with 46 happy clients. The journey of the company can truly be described as journey of many ‘firsts’.
In 2005, the company was the first Indian BPM player to have a 3 site Disaster recovery strategy and had pioneered the hub-n-spoke delivery center strategy. Next year, the company was the first to provide all-India routing that allowed language preference based routing of calls to any center in the country. In the same year, they have acquired their first international customer and also became an exclusive partner for a leading DTH player.
2007 year was the turning point for the company when they have started the platform based multi-vendor third party insurance administration services and opened their first rural center in Ethakota, Andhra Pradesh.
In 2008, the company was renamed to Tata Business Support Services aka Tata BSS. Since last 7 years, Tata BSS is amongst the few BPMs that have consistently delivered profitable growth. In 2013, the company reached 10,000 employees base and became the first company to manage a 600 million strong customer community and was recognized by Nasscom as one of India’s largest Impact Sourcing players.
In future, Tata BSS is looking forward to strongly focus on providing customer lifecycle management services to clients in chosen verticals with strong focus on analytics. It will also strengthen its position as an Affirmative Action powerhouse within the Tata group.
