Talya Bauer, Ph.D. Wins Academy of Management Innovative Teaching Award

The Academy of Management's 2015 Human Resources Division Innovative Teaching Award is given to Talya Bauer, Ph.D. Flat World will provide a complimentary desk copy of Dr. Bauer's latest textbook, Organizational Behavior at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Vancouver August 7-11.

The Academy of Management’s 2015 Human Resources Division Innovative Teaching Award is given to Talya Bauer, Ph.D. The award recognizes colleagues in the HR Division of the Academy of Management who have demonstrated innovation in the classroom or leadership in disseminating their innovations in the teaching of HRM. Special attention is given to methods that are developed as a result of interactions with the business community and those methods and designs that are widely disseminated. The award ceremony will be held at the Academy of Management meeting on Monday, August 10 from 7:30 am – 9:30 am at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in Saturna Island, British Columbia. Dr. Bauer’s latest textbook, Organizational Behavior, will be available in the Flat World booth #124 at the Academy of Management Annual meeting in Vancouver from August 7-11.

About Talya Bauer, Ph.D.
Dr. Bauer earned her degree in Business with a special emphasis in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from Purdue University. She is an award-winning researcher and teacher in the areas of recruitment and selection and new employee onboarding and offboarding. Her work has been covered in the New York Times, Harvard Business Review, USA Today, the Oregonian, Portland Business Journal, and Business Week as well as appearing on NPR and KGW News.
