Take Off Your Ties and Get Out Your Dancing Shoes to Raise Money for Cancer Research
Online, February 19, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation (UCCRF) Associates Board hosts its annual No Tie Ball, which will raise money to aid in cutting edge Immunotherapy cancer research. The "Mad Men" themed evening will include a premium open bar with specialty drinks, a silent auction and plenty of dancing.
"The No Tie Ball is our signature fundraising event, raising $30,000 on average" said Justin Ullman, president of the UCCRF Associates Board. "This year we are expecting 250 guests, who are eager to mingle, dance and have fun - all for a great cause."
Saturday's No Tie Ball will take place at The James Hotel, from eight to 11 o'clock at night. During the silent auction, guests can expect to bid on items like a White Sox luxury box, a "Be a Rock Star For A Day" package that includes recording your favorite song with a house band at Shirk Studio and Sound, and a bottle of Armand de Brignac signed by the Chicago Bulls. Tickets to the ball can be purchased online at https://www.eventville.com/Catalog/EventRegistration1.asp?EventId=1007417 or at the door on Saturday.
"The University of Chicago Cancer Research Center is making incredible progress towards using the immune system to overcome cancer," said Ullman. "The Associates Board is proud to aid research efforts through events like the No Tie Ball as the fight to end cancer is a very personal crusade for many of us."
