Taber Cares Accepting Applications for 2018 Fundraisers.
Homes By Taber welcomes 501(c)3 organizations for monthly charitable giving.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, October 5, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Oklahoma City builder Homes By Taber launched a charitable giving program in 2015 to support local charities. Every month in 2017, a different charity received a portion of proceeds from new home sales. Those charities were nominated by the company’s employees, who also donated hundreds of hours of their time. In the first nine months of 2017, Homes By Taber has donated $63,060 to worthy organizations throughout the region, with monthly contributions ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 each month.
For 2018, the company’s charitable initiative, Taber Cares, will accept applications from charities that would like to benefit from Homes By Taber’s generosity.

Every month, Homes By Taber contributes $250 for every new home sold. But the giving exceeds the dollar amount. The staff volunteers their time for an even greater number of charities. They’ve helped to build a Habitat for Humanity home, conducted clothing drives, led activities for foster children, and washed windows at an early childhood center, to name just a few. At the end of the month, they are dressing up in costumes to hang out with their friends over at Wings, a special needs community.
LeBlanc encourages charities throughout the Oklahoma City region to apply for the monthly giving. A copy of the 501(c)3, IRS determination letter, and IRS certificate are required. Applications can be submitted online at www.homesbytaber.com/taber-gives-back. Applications will be accepted through December 1, 2017.
Past recipients of Taber Cares’ monthly fundraising, includes Oklahoma Youth Expo, The Anna’s House Foundation, Infant Crisis Services, YWCA Oklahoma City, Dress for Success Oklahoma City, Sunbeam Family Services, Infant Crisis Services, Wings, Habitat for Humanity, and Susan G. Komen Central & Western Oklahoma.
