SwerV Records CEO Michael Weist Welcomed to the Recording Academy

Good Times Entertainment, LLC & SwerV Records CEO Michael Weist has been inducted and welcomed into The Recording Academy.

On March 14, 2016, Good Times Entertainment, LLC (@GoodTimesShow) & SwerV Records (@SwerVRecords) CEO, Michael Weist (@TheMichaelWeist), has been inducted and welcomed into The Recording Academy. 

The Recording Academy has been celebrating music through the GRAMMY Awards for more than 50 years, and continues its rich legacy and ongoing growth as the premier outlet for honoring achievements in the recording arts and supporting the music community. The music executive, CEO, DJ, and producer, Michael Weist, has been welcomed as a the newest member of The Recording Academy. He also joins the local chapter of the academy in Nashville, TN.

The "four pillars" of The Recording Academy are: Membership and Awards; Music Education and Archiving and Preservation; Philanthropy and Charity, and Advocacy. Through his work with SwerV Records and Good Times Entertainment, Michael Weist has displayed these pillars and strives to reach new goals daily. Michael is said to be releasing new music from SwerV Records soon, and with his induction to The Recording Academy, it couldn't have come at a better time for him and his team. 

In recent news, SwerV Records has a released more information regarding Michael's newest project with Shelby Johnston (@Shelby_Johnston), which has gained national attention. Weist has hired Dove award winner Brent Hendrich and 10 time Grammy winner F. Reid Shippen to assist with the production of Shelby's debut single, "Constellation" as well as continuing work on her album, "Twin Lions." The track is set to be mastered by Stuart Hawkes, who has earned the credits of mastering hits for artists like Lorde, Sam Smith, Disclosure, and more. Michael has hired Nashville artist Cory Basil to hand-paint and design Shelby's album artwork, which will be released partially as the cover of her single. The full album artwork will be released upon the release of Shelby's debut album, "Twin Lions."
