Superior Rigging & Erecting Co. Uses Mini Crawler Crane to Update Displays at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

ATLANTA, April 26, 2019 (Newswire.com) - ​Superior Rigging & Erecting Co., with locations in Atlanta and Orlando, recently assisted with updating the car displays at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons. The Superior Rigging & Erecting team accomplished the feat using one of the Maeda spider crawler cranes from its expansive fleet.

The project consisted of removing the prior displayed Mercedes-Benz automobiles, exchanging them with new automobiles for display, a prodigious undertaking in a sweeping stadium environment. In order to achieve the exportation/installation, the Superior Rigging & Erecting team used a cutting edge Maeda-manufactured crawler crane.

Crawler cranes are compact and lightweight, able for utilization in smaller areas, like inside buildings and on rooftops, unlike larger cranes. They feature four outriggers that redistribute weight and provide stability for efficient lifting. Optical electric motors on Maeda crawler lifts ensure work can be completed cleanly indoors, without the concern for gas emissions. The cranes have up to an 8.0t capacity and are used for many applications, including civil engineering, construction and heavy load installation projects.
