Super Bowl XLVI Champion Michael Clayton Partners With PlaySports TV

Veteran wide receiver Michael Clayton creates series of youth training videos with PlaySports TV

Veteran wide receiver and Super Bowl XLVI champion Michael Clayton has partnered with PlaySports TV, a leading youth training video website, to create a series of demonstration and instructional training videos for wide receivers.

With over eight years experience in the NFL, and having been coached by some of the top NFL wide receiver coaches in the league including Richard Mann (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Stan Hixon (Buffalo Bills), and Sean Ryan (NY Giants), Michael Clayton is considered as one of the best all-around football players to ever play at LSU. He won three back to back championships with LSU before becoming a #1 draft pick back in 2004 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is also ranked 5th all time in NFL history among rookie performances. The Super Bowl Champion, who dedicated most of his time off the field helping underprivileged children through charitable endeavors, will now use his on the field expertise in a series of wide receiver drills and techniques through the PlaySports TV network.

The series of training videos will be shot in Plainsboro, New Jersey on June 27, 2012. With over 3,000 videos available on the PlaySports TV website (most with printable training notes), PlaySports TV online youth sports training is designed to make learning how to play sports easy and fun! With the help of NY Giants rookie Brandon Bing, Michael delivers a tutorial to include an introductory speech on setting goals, his philosophy on football, and life after football in addition to specific wide receiver instructional drills. Brandon Bing, a former track runner and fitness trainer will lend his expertise in providing a short series of warm-ups into specific speed, agility, and quickness drills. "I am truly grateful and excited to be working with PlaySports TV. There were no opportunities such as this to learn real drills and techniques from professional athletes themselves when I was growing up. I am honored to be able to lend my expertise to kids nationally who are interested in developing and enhancing their skills on the field and achieving their personal best", says Michael Clayton.

The collaboration between Michael Clayton and PlaySports TV creates a unique and dynamic platform for young football sports enthusiasts to receive authentic and affordable training from active professional athletes. Young athletes will learn the importance of the position on the field, but will also build character, attitude, and hard work ethic, all of which are essential in becoming a successful athlete."We are delighted to be working with someone as passionate and committed to teaching young players the game as Michael is. Besides being able to share his insights and techniques that have made him a great wide receiver, Michael wants to communicate his experiences outside of football, teaching kids the value of education and setting goals. The relationship is win win for Michael and PlaySportsTV", says PlaySportsTv founder Doug Donaldson.

In addition to Michael Clayton's collaboration with PlaySports TV, he is preparing for his first football mini-camp in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which will take place on July 28, 2012 to benefit Pacer's National Bulling Prevention Center, along with a fall release of his first self published book "Chasing His Rookie Year".

Promotional demonstrations and teaser footage will be available the first week in July. PlaySportsTV will distribute the instructional content on its core site www.playsportstv.com and through its network partners to include Sports Illustrated Kids, Fun Go Play, The Youth Football Coaches Association, ESPN High School, HighSchoolSports.net, and League Lineup.
