StorageSeeker's Self Storage Rent Index declined by -1.0% nationally in August 2017.

In August 2017, self storage prices declined by -1.0% on average nationally. This reduction follows a steady increase in storage unit prices during the past five months since March 2017.

At the local level, there were some cities with larger rental rate changes during the same period, with prices both decreasing and increasing. Below are the Top 10 major cities that saw self storage rent declines or increases across the U.S. in August 2017.
