Stay Alfred, Largest Travel Apartment Provider in U.S., Joins Annual Bisnow Multifamily Conference in New York City

Stay Alfred VP of Marketing Eric Anderson Talks Long-Term Solutions for Short-Term Rentals

Stay Alfred, the hospitality startup that pioneered the travel apartment concept in the alternative accommodation space, will be presenting at Bisnow’s Multifamily Annual Conference Tri-State on April 16, 2019 in New York, NY; Vice President of Marketing at Stay Alfred, Eric Anderson, will provide a “how-to” on balancing full-time resident needs while realizing the NOI benefits of a hospitality mixed-use model in his presentation, “Long-Term Solutions for Short-Term Rentals: a Mixed-Use Case Study.”

Stay Alfred partners with multifamily developers and property managers to lease blocks of units or entire buildings and then offers them as travel apartments for guests. The company expects to double its units in 2019 with expansion that includes the greater New York City area, the top tourist destination in the country, and potentially Los Angeles.

“As the short-term rental model catches on with national developers and building owners, we’re sharing best practices from our eight years of operator experience to help ensure the programs can flourish,” said Anderson. “Too often we hear about programs that are implemented without regulatory compliance or proper operational support to ensure harmony between long-term residents and shorter-stay residents. These are preventable mistakes. I’ll share some imperatives to implementing a successful mixed-model at scale in a class-A property.”

Stay Alfred is leading the evolution of the short-term rental sector, development and land use regulatory law in the urban short-term rental sector. Raising $47 million in Series B funding in 2018, the company currently operates more than 2,000 upscale, professionally managed travel apartments in 32 cities and is continuing its trajectory of rapid national expansion.

“It’s an honor to be presenting at the Bisnow Tri-state event among so many great brands in the multifamily sector,” said Anderson. “New York City is the epicenter of commercial real estate, and we’re looking forward to networking with developers who’d like to explore a mutually beneficial growth model.”
