Founded by Scott D. Butcher, FSMPS, CPSM, Aecumen provides high-level strategic consulting and training to AEC firms nationally.
A prominent AEC industry leader with over 25 years of experience, Scott joins SN as Director of the firm’s Strategic Growth Advisory Practice. Scott’s deep roots in the AEC industry include serving as Chief Marketing Officer for an AE firm where he led their business development and marketing initiatives. Additionally, Scott is a sought-after national speaker for industry organizations including ACEC, AIA, PSMJ, and SMPS and authors Marketropolis, the sales and marketing blog for the Engineering News-Record website (ENR.com). A Fellow of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), Scott served on the SMPS national board of directors and is a former Trustee and President of the SMPS Foundation, a nonprofit research organization serving the AEC industry.
