St. Stephen Vineyards Introduces New High-Quality Organic Wines

Proceeds to Support Environmental Causes

SSV President Tim Edwards

In an effort to meet the growing demand for quality organic wine, St. Stephen Vineyards LLC today announced the introduction of its line of superior organic wines to the United States market.

Viña St. Stephen Ltda. is based in the fertile Colchagua Valley of Chile and features three hand-crafted wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Malbec. A large portion of the proceeds from the sales of St. Stephen wines is dedicated to non-profit environmental causes in the United States and Chile.

The organic agricultural methods of St. Stephen produce a significantly better wine; healthier and with a stronger identity. Specifically, because these grapes were grown without pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers, the wine did not require the normal procedures to disguise the negative impact of such adulterating agents. The grapes were harvested by hand at the perfect stage of maturity, to produce a wine with character, volume and a powerful style, that will age very well. Each bottle reflects all of the best things about this wonderful vineyard.

"The health and well-being of our planet is our generation's most urgent challenge. St. Stephen Vineyards is our small way of pitching in," says owner and serial entrepreneur Tim Edwards.

In 1994, Edwards and his Chilean wife Claudia spent a year traveling 9,000 miles by Jeep from the United States to Chile, where they finally settled. They purchased land in the Colchagua Valley and founded St. Stephen Vineyards, dedicated to making quality wines made with organic grapes, to help advance efforts to protect the planet.

"We realized early on that the key to our success was to create a really great wine. Many of the best wines in the world come from Chile. The Colchagua Valley was named the 'World's Best Wine Region' by Wine Enthusiast magazine. One of our wines has been rated at 90 points, and the other two are pending evaluation," says Edwards.

Award-winning winemaker José Antonio Bravo de Bischoffen has worked for several top wineries in Napa, Argentina and Chile. Bravo says: "The organic agricultural methods of St. Stephen produce a significantly better wine; healthier and with a stronger identity."

Bravo continues, "Specifically, because these grapes were grown without pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers, the wine did not require the normal procedures to disguise the negative impact of such adulterating agents. The grapes were harvested by hand at the perfect stage of maturity, to produce a wine with character, volume and a powerful style, that will age very well. Each bottle reflects all of the best things about this wonderful vineyard."

St. Stephen wines will be available in the U.S. starting on Friday, Sept. 1, 2018, and can be purchased online at http://www.StStephen.cl and from selected dealers of fine wines.
