Spiritual Haze Presents "Outsiders of Americana"

PO Box 222, January 8, 2016 (Newswire.com) - “Outsiders of Americana” showcases two alternative Americana music acts in the unique environment of Spiritual Haze, a hookah lounge enterprise founded by the owners of Electric Haze. Sam Sjostedt and the Runaway Boys are a five-piece alternative-folk band based in Worcester. Darren Deicide, from New Jersey, will be debuting his own style of neo-jukehouse blues to Worcester.

Doors open at 9pm and performances will begin by 10pm. Spiritual Haze is located at 589 Park Ave in Worcester, MA.

Darren Deicide was born on Halloween in the rhythm and blues filled environment of Chicago. He maintains a continuous touring schedule and has played with an array of notable artists around the entire United States that has spanned from The Members and Dead Prez to Danny and the Juniors. He has played on Fox 5's "Good Day New York" as a featured artist on the "Make Music New York Festival". In addition he has been featured at Louisville, KY's "Good Folk Fest", Washington, NJ's "Festival in the Borough", and Hartford, CT's "Hope Out Loud Festival". He has worked with award-winning director, Gabriel Haze, and reborn doll artist/model, Marilyn Mansfield, on his premiere music video for the song "The Cocaine Song". Recently, he made his debut at the legendary New York City venue, Webster Hall. As a devotee of rhythm, blues, and punk, Darren also competes and teaches swing dancing and has had editorial articles printed in a number of publications, including the long running column "Agent Provocateur" in The Aquarian Weekly, which became a weekly segment for the 9Sense podcast.
