Sofive Soccer Center Teams Up With Bundesliga, New York City FC for Free Soccer Festival in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, August 16, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Want to take a photo with Bayern Munich Mascot Berni or ask Sky Blue FC defender Domi Richardson how to make it to the pros? The Sofive Soccer Festival has got you covered. The all-day festival is free of charge and allows soccer enthusiasts to test their skills on turf, watch professional games live and win amazing prizes.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., the Bundesliga Lounge will show all German matches live. Furthermore, it will feature a soccer tennis field and a virtual reality station. Berni the Bayern Mascot and his Schalke 04 colleague, Erwin, will also stop by with cool swag and raffle prizes, such as signed jerseys.
At the New York City FC Field, players can take aim at a giant soccer dart wall and test their luck at the spinning wheel of the NYCFC street team (10-5 p.m.). Sky Blue FC, the only NWSL team in the tri-state area, will give away great prizes and host SBFC defender Domi Richardson for a meet and greet at their booth (2 p.m.).
Sofive will run adult and youth tournaments, as well as free open play for all its guests. Drink specials and food are available at the Halftime bar all day. Another VR game station, a DJ, soccer lifestyle vendors, and live games from the EPL, La Liga and MLS on 12 55-inch TVs complement the activities.
