"TV is starting to reach out to new platforms and technologies that they haven't previously looked at. Many future TV programs will have a built in 'social component' and platforms are now starting to look at how they connect their content with Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and many other potential partners" commented Ian Johnson, MD Six Degrees Events. " The Social TV series of events will help connect platform operators and broadcasters with the social media sector as each social TV event is co-located with the social media world forum shows."

The Social TV Series allows companies based within the TV 2.0, and Connected TV services environment a space to show their latest products and keep up to date with all the latest developments from social media companies, STB and television manufacturers, conditional access, telecommunications companies and broadcasters.

The Social TV Forum will be held in conjunction with the Social Media World Forum 2010 (www.socialmedia-forum.com). This is a leading social media event that brings together all facets of industry connected to social media featuring four conference streams, Social Media, Mobile Social Media, Enterprise Social Media and Social TV. These are based around a central exhibition.

Future Social TV events are being help in New York in June, and Singapore in September.
