Signature, Inc.'s President outlined the firm's many giveback events of 2016 and how they strengthened bonds between team members. He also discussed the culture-building value of holiday parties.
CHERRY HILL, NJ , January 27, 2017 (Newswire.com) - “I believe in creating a strong company culture through the bond of giving back,” stated Kenneth Weinraub, the President of Signature, Inc. “Volunteer opportunities and giveback events have been focal points for our associates over the last year, and they have grown into a more unified group in the process.” Signature, Inc.’s team members are always taking part in innovative acts of generosity, but two events in particular stood out for the President in 2016. He explained, “We hosted a golf outing in June on behalf of the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund and participated in a 5K race to benefit the Tri-State K-9 Response Team.”
The Tri-State K9 Response Team is very near and dear to the Signature team’s hearts. The K9 Response Team sends trained dogs to crisis situations throughout the country and all the money that is raised is spent on travel for these dogs. The K9 Response Team is so heavily important to the community because the K9 team helps individuals cope with a crisis or helps loved ones grieve. On top on being a response team for crisis, the training dogs also help children with special needs and individuals who are experiencing traumatic events.
"We made this year's gathering all about the Jay Fund, and we raised over $30,000 for the group's wonderful cause."
The golf outing raised more than $1,500 for the Jay Fund, which helps families with children battling cancer. Tom Coughlin, the namesake of the event and the former head coach of the New York Giants, provided signed footballs to help the cause. The President remarked, “We were proud to assist the Jay Fund, and 60 people attended our event. Cancer is a devastating disease for anyone, but it takes a special toll on children and their families. The money we raised goes directly to families in need, which will help them keep up the good fight.”
Later in the year, Signature, Inc. associates ran a 5K race to help the Tri-State K-9 Response Team, raising $8,000 in the process. This organization provides trained and certified dog/handler teams for animal-assisted therapy and activities in New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. “Our team members placed first, second, and third in the event,” boasted the President. “We were honored to help this unique cause and assist the K-9 Response Team with their very important work.”
“My Signature, Inc. colleagues and I were proud to emerge as community leaders through our consistent charitable initiatives,” said Weinraub. “We support the region in a variety of ways throughout the year, and I know 2017 will provide us with more opportunities to make a real difference.”
Signature also focuses on St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital monthly. Signature believes in consistently helping the community and those less fortunate.
Signature, Inc.’s President Discusses the Benefits of Holiday Gatherings
The President and the rest of the Signature, Inc. leadership group believe holiday gatherings represent the best ways to amplify a company’s culture. “You get to emphasize your firm’s priorities every time you get together for a big holiday party,” Weinraub stated. “Whether you want to recognize individual achievement, collaboration, or community giving, you can do all those things as you have fun and make memories. Big morale boosts always seem to follow, and they set you up for a successful new year.”
This year’s Signature, Inc. holiday party was held in Atlantic City, and it had a special focus. The President explained, “We made this year’s gathering all about the Jay Fund, and we raised over $30,000 for the group’s wonderful cause.”
