Shari's Promise to Hold Sam Adams Beer Dinner Fundraiser at The Melting Pot in Columbia

Online, April 22, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Shari's Promise - a non-profit organization created to stop the abuse of children, empower survivors, and teach communities to prevent, recognize the signs, and react responsibly when abuse is disclosed - will hold a fundraiser at The Melting Pot in Columbia.

The Sam Adams Beer Dinner fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, and will feature a four-course experience that includes cheese fondue, salad, an entree of smoked pork, sirloin, chicken, shrimp, or pasta, a dessert of chocolate or Berry Crunch fondue, and a flight of four different Sam Adams beers. The meal can be purchased for $45 per person, not including tax, gratuity, or any additional beverage charges, and attendees are encouraged to make reservations.

The Melting Pot will donate 10% of its sales to Shari's Promise.

"This fundraiser will greatly impact our organization," said Shari Hammond, co-founder and namesake of the organization. "Not only does it give us a chance to spread our message about empowerment and positive communication, but the donation will help us save the lives of many children and adults suffering from the effects of abuse."
