Senior Discipline Engineer Jami Hirota Joins Coffman Engineers' Civil Department

Honolulu growth reflects company's business strategy

Coffman Engineers Inc. (“Coffman”) is pleased to welcome Senior Discipline Engineer Jami S. Hirota, PE, LSIT, LEED BD+C, to the Honolulu civil engineering department.

The addition of Ms. Hirota reflects Coffman’s intent to grow the Honolulu office with experienced individuals who are deeply rooted in the local community. Ms. Hirota has served as a leader in the civil engineering and land surveying industry in Hawaii for the past 21 years. She will continue to offer civil engineering and project management services at Coffman.

Jami is a very well-respected leader in the engineering community and has been integral in shaping the design-build environment in Hawaii and Guam. We are honored and excited to have her join our team and work alongside our other talented professionals.

Ms. Hirota has more than 23 years of experience in civil engineering and land surveying. She has significant experience managing Department of Defense (DoD), commercial, state and county projects from the initial proposal through completion. Her experience also includes managing a staff of engineers and surveyors, contract review, business development and project management at her previous firm.

“I’m excited to join the Coffman team after partnering with their engineers on projects for many years. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve our clients and projects with greater efficiency and additional capabilities,” said Ms. Hirota.

Prior to joining the company, Ms. Hirota partnered with Coffman on many projects. A few include:

·       Hawaii Maritime Center, Honolulu, HI

·       P-109 Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, Andersen AFB, Guam

Ms. Hirota joins four other engineers in the civil/structural department in Coffman’s Honolulu office. The multidiscipline office located in downtown Honolulu has 45 engineers and support staff providing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and fire protection engineering.
