Scott Tucker Is The Man Behind Many Seats

Tucker's experience includes fundraising (of particular interest in today's climate), commissioning new work

Scott Tucker may not be a household name, but he is certainly the talk or many racing circuits and may soon be a household name if you do not know of him yet. He is the American racecar driver who stepped out of the corporate chair into the driver's seat of a Ferrari in the 2006 Ferrari challenge and from there has become almost legendary in his ability to adapt and move forward in the racing world. He has done with racing, what he has done with his corporate career, succeeded. There are few people that can do what Scott has done, and he has done it at an age where many people are starting to think about retirement, but not Scott, no he has been going full speed ahead since he has stepped into the driver's seat and is now a championship driver.

The Beginning of a Midlife Racing Career

Many wife's would say that their husband was crazy for hopping behind the wheel of a racecar that can top 200 miles per hour, at the age of 48 and some may even say that the man is going through a midlife crisis, but for Scott it is a midlife-racing career. Scott first got behind the wheel of a racing car in the 2006 Ferrari Challenge racing series. He returned the following year in 2007 to win the first race of his career at the Portland International Raceway, then in 2008 Scott was the first driver in Ferrari Challenge history to win 10 races in a single season.

Scott Tuckers racing career had not stopped at the Ferrari Challenge racing series, he is actively involved in many racing series and as of 2010 he has been competing in the world famous 24 Hours du Le Mans, which the first year he failed to complete the race but came back in 2011 as an owner/driver and he and his Level Five Motorsports team won their first poll position. He will be back with his team in June of 2012 at the world famous race.

Life before Stepping into the Driver's Seat

The man behind the hype has not always been behind the wheel of racecars that run over 200 miles per hour. He was behind the desk of some of America's biggest companies beforehand.
