SAX-CCESSORIES LLC Partners with Paraschos Musical Wind Instruments
Online, January 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - SAX-CCESSORIES LLC is proud to introduce Paraschos wooden saxophone necks and ligatures to its offering.
Paraschos Musical Wind Instruments was founded in 1980 by George Paraschos and is based out of Athens, Greece. The necks are handmade from Palisander wood, and extremely dense hardwood found in the equatorial Africa and Madagascar regions. The necks create an easy blowing and smooth resonant sound with improved response and warmer tones. The special assembly procedure makes the necks tough and shock proof. While many may think the neck would result in a stuffy or dull sound, players that have tried the Paraschos necks quickly comment on how rich the middle of the register becomes and no projection is lost when compared to a metal neck. The necks are custom made to fit Borgani, Selmer, Yamaha, and Yanagisawa saxophones. The wooden ligatures are designed to fit tenor, alto, and soprano hard rubber mouthpieces. The products are absolutely gorgeous. Over the years, world class players like Michael Brecker, Joe Lovano, Jay Rodriguez and Jason Marshall have played Paraschos necks and/or ligatures. The Paraschos necks and ligatures come with a 2-year warranty.
