Sauvie Island Lavender Farm Launches Wedding Ring Bearer Pillow Line for Straight and Same-Sex Couples
After a gay couple share how they felt discriminated by some wedding vendors as they planned for the big day, farmer Julie Cleveland, Sauvie Island Lavender Farm, created a lavender product line that is inclusive of all who wish to march down the aisle. This Friday is the launch of the farm's lavender-filled wedding ring bearer pillow line. This collection of 12 ring bearer pillows includes several designs specific to same-sex weddings with many designs for both straight and LBGTQ couples.
Portland, OR, January 22, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Today, Sauvie Island Lavender Farm announced it is expanding its farm-made lavender product line with its inclusive wedding ring bearer pillows. After last summer’s lavender u-cut season ended with a record high demand for lavender by wedding couples, the farm started creating a new product line that reflected its customer base.
Lavender grower and farm owner, Julie Cleveland commented, “I am over the moon with what we are able to offer straight and LBGTQ couples for their big day. I was blown away awhile back when a gay couple picking lavender for their wedding opened up about the discrimination they encountered when they visited a local florist. I never want a customer to feel unwelcome. I have always had a diverse customer base and this line allows me to serve them better.”

The lavender-filled ring bearer pillow line includes styles from classic to rustic. There are several options for personalization with a photo of the couple, wedding date, or favorite quote. The best part is you don’t have to wait for the farm to open this summer. The pillows are available online at www.sauvieislandlavenderfarm.com.
