San Mateo Harvest Festival Showcases Personalized Holiday Shopping Experience

One of the Top Rated Craft Shows in the Country Opens at the San Mateo Event Center

The San Mateo Harvest Festival is bringing the Peninsula a holiday shopping event unlike no other, returning to the San Mateo Event Center on November 13-15, 2015, with thousands of handmade arts and crafts, live music and performances, a hands-on KidZone, delicious foods and much more.

The San Mateo Harvest Festival® Original Art and Craft Show offers over 24,000 American handmade items, including original art, clothing, jewelry, specialty foods, toys, holiday decor and more. Customers can stroll aisle upon aisle of unique gifts, speaking directly to artists and often getting purchases personalized.

All the artisans featured at the San Mateo Harvest Festival must submit their work for it to be juried into the show. The vetting process ensures that all products are made by hand in America by each artist and provides diverse assortment of merchandise.

For the first time ever, the Harvest Festival will offer a free admission to the first 100 people in line each day, so be sure to get there early!

This year, the Harvest Festival has brought back fan favorites Tom Rigney and Flambeau, a fiery Cajun/Zydeco band who is known to awe audiences with their furious fiddling performances.  Scott Land Marionettes will also be a featured performer and will present beautiful and humorous marionette shows which appeal to all ages and walks of life.

New this year will be a special series of Safety and Usage classes offered by TechShop. These educational seminars, normally valued at $90, will be available first come first serve for only $5. The classes will offer an inside look on how to use the latest technology to create arts and crafts projects. Those interested can sign up at the TechShop booth inside the Harvest Festival.

The Peninsula Humane Society/SPCA will return as the selected charity of the show and will receive half of the proceeds from all shopping bags sold, as well as all the donations collected from the Parcel Check. Plus, the Samaritan House will be onsite collecting non-perishable food donations, and anyone who brings a donation will receive $2 off a regular or adult admission.

The KidZone, a specialized area for kids to participate in hands on crafting activities, will be sponsored by Gingerbread-on-the-Go and Nature of Art for Kids. The crafts will include gingerbread cookie decorating and eco friendly art projects. New York Life will also be onsite to offer free Child ID services.

Attendees can enter to win fabulous prizes, including the grand prize of a resort vacation package at the Ridge Resorts in Lake Tahoe!

The Harvest Festivals are recognized as one of the top 200 craft shows in the United States by Sunshine Artist Magazine and are also one of the largest indoor arts and crafts shows on the West Coast.
