Rudolf Steiner College's (RSC) 2013 summer program will begin with its annual Advanced Biodynamic Intensive on Wednesday, June 12-Sunday, June 16. RSC offers a wide array of courses during the summer, including its reputable Art of Teaching courses for Waldorf schools and its Public School Institute. This year, RSC's summer includes special international conferences, including the Second International Extra Lesson conference and the Arts and the Mystery Streams conference, co-sponsored by the Ruskin Mills Trust (RMT) in the United Kingdom.

RSC's summer Foundation Program courses launches the matriculated program on Thursday, June 20-Friday, June 28 followed by the Summer Teacher Education courses on June 30, 2013.

While Rudolf Steiner College's summer schedule is largely for Waldorf teachers who are preparing for the coming year, the college's other programs, including the Advanced Biodynamic Intensive, the Art and the Mystery Streams, and the co-sponsored Coros Institute's Nine Subtle Bodies conferences, are events that are open to anyone wanting to explore subjects that are transformative and meaningful with an anthroposophical foundation.

"This summer, we will continue in the tradition of providing a dynamic space for people from around the globe to find inspiration and ideas to further their work in the world," Executive Director, and Early Childhood educator, Lauren Hickman commented when asked about the broad range of the summer offerings.

The 2013 season promises to be a time to rejuvenate, invigorate, and encourage teachers, parents, and community members to deepen professionally and personally. RSC's Fair Oaks campus will host approximately 700 students and participants; these individuals will also enjoy food from its organic cafe and products from its unique independent bookstore, specializing in Waldorf education books, art supplies, natural health and beauty products, and toys.

Programs at the college arise out of the work of Austrian philosopher, scientist, and educator Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), whose innovative ideas and discoveries have inspired a broad spectrum of practical activities worldwide-in the arts, banking, architecture, medicine, agriculture, care of people with disabilities, and education.

Located on a beautiful thirteen acre campus in Fair Oaks, just east of Sacramento, the college offers students a wide range of educational opportunities, such as Waldorf teacher education, personal enrichment courses, and workshops. The campus includes a bookstore, biodynamic garden, a performance hall, on-campus student housing, and an organic cafe.
