RTP Start-up TransCirrus Inc. Announces Collaboration for OpenStack with Red Hat Inc.

One of the newest and fastest OpenStack deployment providers in the country will soon offer a fully supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform solution appliance in a single box.

TransCirrus, Inc., announced today that it is one of the first companies to become a Red Hat Embedded Integrated Partner for OpenStack.  This collaboration enables TransCirrus, founded two years ago, to resell Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform in its OpenStack cloud in a box appliance, including enterprise support provided by TransCirrus and backed by Red Hat.  The collaboration will allow TransCirrus to reach customers who demand enterprise support by a market leader such as Red Hat.

TransCirrus, an emerging player in the cloud computing market, offers an out of the box, fully functioning OpenStack cloud solution that is set up in minutes via a simple user interface.  This new cloud platform offering provides self-management and a fully automated scale-out solution that allows cloud expansion with more compute or storage resources in about a minute.  “We are very excited to be working and collaborating with Red Hat in this way”, said Ingemar Lanevi, CEO and President of TransCirrus Inc.   “Teaming up with Red Hat to provide a fully enterprise supported appliance is an exciting development for our company and can help drive the adoption of the Red Hat version of OpenStack as well as offer us the ability to reach a new customer base.

"TransCirrus has been a great partner of ours and working with them for certified solutions such as this cloud management appliance reflects our desire to collaborate with companies that share our vision of driving the market adoption of our distribution of OpenStack", said John Bleuer, VP, Global ISV Partners, Red Hat.
