Born in Tuscon, Arizona, Orr and his family moved to Florida in his early years. As an English major at the University of Florida, Gainesville, the future chef realized his propensity and natural talent for cooking. Following graduation from the U, Orr traveled to Jacksonville where he enrolled in the apprenticeship program at the American Culinary Federation. Having caught the cooking bug, Paris was next in his travels and education. Under award winning Chef Michel Cliche, Orr began his career in the culinary arts, running a restaurant in the center of the culinary capitol of the world, Paris, France.
Upon his return to the United States, Chef Orr found the appeal of the Florida Keys irresistible and settled on the island of Key West. After six years of working under Executive Chef Doug Shook at the acclaimed restaurant, Louie's Backyard, Chef Orr took his unique talent to the Roof Top Cafe where as Executive Chef, he is thrilled to create his new island cuisine at one of the top ranked restaurants in Key West, Florida.
