On Thursday 9th Feburary, stand-up Rob Heeney makes his hotly anticipated debut at the Leicester Comedy Festival with the world premiere of his new show, 'Rob Heeney in Vincible'.
About the Show:
Turning 40 and in the throes of a mid-life crisis, Rob threw himself headfirst into a sporting attempt to cling on to his youth. His decaying body decided otherwise however and promptly left him laid up for three months to "have a bit of a think about it all". In this hour-long show Rob muses on sporting strife, staying young and the potential upsides of house arrest!

About Rob Heeney:
Over the past decade Rob Heeney has established a dual reputation as both an award-winning comedy writer and as one of the top comedians on the live circuit.
Described as 'a definite must-see' by UK comedy guide Chortle, Rob has played all of the UK's top clubs including; The Comedy Store, Highlight, Jongleurs, The Glee Clubs and Up the Creek. Further afield, he's gigged in countries as far reaching as The United Arab Emirates, the USA, the Netherlands and South Africa.
Originating from the Isle of Man, where he was born one Christmas Eve, Rob's unique and highly entertaining take on life is undoubtedly informed by his wealth of pre-comedy experiences - having been a qualified Chemical Physicist, trained Systems Analyst, Taxi Driver and even International Table Tennis player in his time!
A versatile performer, with a quick wit and excellent ad-libbing skills his style is a blend of bitterness, playfulness and cynicism, all wrapped up in a blanket of charm.
Writing & TV
Following a commission writing for Radio Two's The Day The Music Died, Rob enjoyed a stint presenting the breakfast show on Reading's 2Ten FM, before joining Heart, where he spent two years writing Jamie Theakston's Breakfast Show - winning a Sony Silver Award into the bargain. He has also recently guested on BBC Five Live's 'Fighting Talk' and as a regular guest on Sky News's Press Preview. He is currently comedy writing for Capital FM and EA Games.
