RJS Expands Coverage of Asbestos Surveys in London and Oxford to Include Homes and Businesses

RJS Waste Management further reduces the risks of asbestos hazards in homes and offices with expanded survey services in UK's major regions.

As the health risks of asbestos fibre inhalation cannot be overstated, RJS Waste Management is expanding its efforts to ensure the proper asbestos management and asbestos waste disposal in more places around London and Oxford. The company is now offering asbestos survey services for homes and businesses alike.

RJS conducts surveys that are fully insured, as carried out by BOHS P402 certified asbestos surveyors. For years, assessments have been conducted throughout London, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and the rest of the UK. To ensure better results, the efforts have thus far been fortified to include home and office asbestos surveys in London as well as in Oxford.

“We carry out Asbestos Management Surveys and Refurbishment/Demolition Surveys in accordance with HSG264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide (2012) and HSG248 Asbestos: The Analysts' Guide for Sampling, Analysis and Clearance Procedures,” the RJS team assured clients, as they combat the staggering number of diseases and fatalities that have been linked to asbestos.

In particular, RJS offers the Management survey, the most basic survey primarily conducted for compliance with the legal mandate on asbestos management. As a non-intrusive asbestos survey, it covers the systematic inspection and sampling of suspected materials and spaces.

The more invasive survey, on the other hand, is the Refurbishment survey required in properties that are due to be demolished or refurbished. The refurbishment survey is typically carried on whole buildings as well as specific areas within that building as part of the survey scope.

Any suspected Asbestos Containing Materials or ACMs found under both types of surveys will be sampled and analysed at a UKAS accredited laboratory using polarised light microscopy.  RJS will provide information on the asbestos identified, its condition and how it should be managed in terms of labelling, encapsulating or removing them. The RJS team of Asbestos management planes can assist clients in the compliance aspect.
