The RisingSeniors Foundation will host the 7th Annual Chick-fil-A Foundation Georgia Junior Bowl on Saturday, December 30, 2017.  The game will be played at Mercer University Five Star Stadium in Macon, Georgia with kick-off scheduled for 3:30PM.

"RisingSeniors' programs aim to help youth make the right decisions in life and show them how important they are to their communities. The Georgia Junior Bowl is an exciting and rewarding avenue for our young athletes to showcase their skills and enhance all they have learned."

Joe Burns, Founder of RisingSeniors Foundation

The 2017 Georgia Junior Bowl will feature 94 of the Top Junior Classmen from around the state of Georgia. Twenty-one of the Top 72 Georgia 2019 collegiate prospects will be featured in the game according to Rivals.com.  Moreover, eight of the 94 players are listed in the 2019 ESPN Jr 300 National Recruiting Rankings. The game will match Team Commitment versus Team Dedication. Team Commitment will be led by Jason Carrera, Head Coach, Meadow Creek High School (Norcross, GA). Team Dedication will be led by Maurice Freeman, Head Coach, Brooks County High School (Quitman, GA). Sixteen past players (RisingSenior Legends) are in the NFL and include three 2017 first round draftees in Jarrad Davis (LB, Detroit Lions), Deshaun Watson (QB, Houston Texans), and Reuben Foster (LB, San Francisco 49ers), in addition, to many of today’s top college athletes.

The Georgia Junior Bowl represents the conclusion of the week-long RisingSeniors Leadership Immersion Program. All Junior Bowl players will complete the RisingSenior’s Knowledge for Life curriculum designed to equip student athletes with the academic, emotional, and life skills necessary to grow and transition from high school to college and beyond. As the RisingSenior’s tag line indicates, the Georgia Junior Bowl is ‘More than Just a Game’.

“Our young athletes today are faced with so many challenges in school, with their peers, and within their communities,” says Joe Burns, founder of RisingSeniors Foundation. “RisingSeniors’ programs aim to help youth make the right decisions in life and show them how important they are to their communities. The Georgia Junior Bowl is an exciting and rewarding avenue for our young athletes to showcase their skills and enhance all they have learned.”

The game will stream live on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app. An expert broadcast team with deep ties to Georgia high school football has been assembled including Chris Mooneyham (NFHS Network/680 the Fan), Paul Maharry (Rivals), and Jon Nelson (GPB Sports), who will provide all of the player insider information.

Advance general admission tickets are available for purchase online at GeorgiaJuniorBowl.org.  Active or retired U.S. military personnel, with a valid military ID, can obtain a complementary ticket to the game by visiting the stadium box office on game day.  For more information, visit RisingSeniors.org.
