Rick Helbing And Sandy Keir Of Suncoast Advisory Group Complete Purpose-Based Financial Planning Workshop

Purpose-Based Financial Planning Approaches Wealth Management in the Context of a Client's Overall Values and Life Goals

Financial advisors Rick Helbing and Sandy Keir of Suncoast Advisory Group have recently completed the Purpose-Based Planning™ Workshop, a two-day intensive training sponsored by AssetMark, Inc. Also referred to as "financial life planning," purpose-based planning approaches wealth management in the context of a client's overall values and life goals.

"Advisors who adopt a purpose-based planning approach enjoy much deeper relationships with their clients," said Matt Matrisian, SVP and Director of Practice Management for AssetMark. "When an advisor helps a client articulate a clear vision that reflects his or her deeply held values, and creates a financial plan that provides the option of living a more meaningful life, that advisor becomes an irreplaceable partner."

AssetMark's Purpose-Based Planning Workshop features resources from Money Quotient, a non-profit organization and leading provider of research-based financial life planning tools and training for financial professionals. Presentations and exercises focused on topics including:

·         Understanding each client’s priorities, concerns, and aspirations

·         Communicating financial advice that aligns with each client’s true values and most cherished goals

·         Crafting client meetings to help clients plan in a meaningful and purposeful way

·         Partnering with clients to define and achieve their financial and life goals

Helbing and Keir are part of a small, but growing cadre of life-centered financial professionals who are leading the trend to integrate financial planning with life planning.

“Rather than telling our clients how to use their life to make money, we lead them on a journey of using their money to achieve the life they want,” said Keir.

“Completing this intensive workshop will improve and enhance our financial life planning services and coordinate with our behavioral DNA client discovery process to provide a better understanding concerning our clients’ goals and decision-making process,” added Helbing.
