Residential Solar Power Contractor, American Solar, Partners with Shea Homes
Online, August 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - New homebuyers are able to select either a 3kW, 4kW or 5kW grid-connected solar electric system at the time of purchase. In addition, homebuyers may be eligible to capture thousands of dollars in solar tax credits. These systems provide an annual utility savings between $550 and $1000 depending on system size and orientation.
Located in San Tan Valley, Arizona, Trilogy at Encanterra is one of several Shea Homes communities to offer American Solar energy options to new homebuyers. Throughout 2010 and now into 2011, approximately 75 percent of existing homeowners at Trilogy at Encanterra's neighboring Encanterra Country Club have chosen to integrate solar power provided by American Solar into their homes. These homeowners are now benefiting from substantially reduced electricity bills.
American Solar offers a "Solar Made Simple" turnkey program designed for homebuilders to simplify the solar installation process. The company manages sales training and marketing support, engineering design, city permitting, utility applications and coordination, system installation and dedicated customer service.
American Solar, Arizona's largest residential solar integrator, has seen increasing demand statewide for integrating solar during new home construction. This latest partnership with Shea Homes is just one more significant indicator that Arizonans want to save money on their utility bills.
"Financially savvy boomers want an affordable lifestyle that looks and feels luxurious, and they're finding it at Trilogy at Encanterra," said Hal Looney, Arizona area president of Shea Homes Active Lifestyle Communities. "With the addition of solar as an option, they can have the best of everything - affordable homes, low monthly utility bills, and a luxurious lifestyle that doesn't compromise the bank account."
"Since 2008, American Solar and Shea Homes have delivered more solar to new homebuyers than any other partnership in the state of Arizona," said Sean Seitz, president of American Solar. "We are pleased to continue this partnership and look forward to supporting all new residents at Encanterra with an exceptional solar experience."
