Rent-a-Romper Acquires ARLi Bringing Two Mom-Owned Companies Together to Make the Children's Fashion Industry More Sustainable

Rent-a-Romper is now one step closer to transforming the children's clothing market

Today, Rent-a-Romper announced a new partnership with San Francisco-based clothing retailer ARLi. This partnership will allow Rent-a-Romper to offer its customers access to ARLi's extensive inventory of premium, sustainable brands while growing Rent-a-Romper's capabilities and team.

Rent-a-Romper is led by Lauren Gregor, Founder and CEO. Prior to founding Rent-a-Romper, Lauren served as a strategy and operations leader at FirstGroup plc. She brings her experience in business and as a mom to her goal of making life easier for parents while reducing the burden of clothing on the planet.

Jennifer Yco, Founder of ARLi, will join Rent-a-Romper as the Head of Merchandising and Sustainability to expand Rent-a-Romper's wholesale relationships and work closely with the team to develop new curated offerings for the Rent-a-Romper community. Prior to ARLi, Jennifer spent her early career in the AdTech space in a variety of roles across Business Development and Global Brand at Meltwater and vidIQ. As a mother of 3, Jennifer's dedication towards identifying eco-friendly children's fashion has helped her curate relationships with international suppliers and vendors. Her goal is to eliminate fast fashion and evangelize the brands that put a clean and sustainable future first.

This acquisition brings together two women entrepreneurs who believe that style and convenience for our children should not come at the expense of our environment.

"Bringing ARLi into our community is a dream come true. ARLi's beautiful curated clothing collection appeals to so many of our customers and will expand our ability to curate for our premium subscribers," says Lauren Gregor, Founder, and CEO at Rent-a-Romper. "Since Jennifer and I met in the HeyMama Mentor Program, we have been collaborating and this wonderful result will utilize both of our skill sets to provide a great service for our community."

"I am so excited to join Lauren and the rest of her remarkable team at Rent-A-Romper. Finding a new home for ARLi within another mission-driven company, hyper-focused on transforming the children's clothing market with an eye towards sustainability is a truly wonderful outcome," says Jennifer Yco, Founder and CEO at ARLi. "I am so excited to contribute to the wholesale partnerships and curating efforts at Rent-a-Romper. We have a tremendous opportunity to build a more sustainable future for children's fashion, and the Rent-A-Romper team and community is well-positioned to achieve this goal."

The benefits of this new partnership include:

  • Expanded inventory of eco-conscious and premium styles
  • Improved operations
  • Additional expertise in the retail space
  • Improved personal styling services
  • Additional partnerships with baby and children's clothing brands
