Being so moved by the Artists work, she reached out to Delesprie online with hopes to commission her to create a heroic monumental bronze to honor her late beloved husband, "Donald M. Pruner," former president of well-known "Pruner Ambulance and Health Services, Inc.," "an Ambulance Driver, Volunteer Firefighter and all around great guy. His passing has left our family and the community with a void. He was a well liked and respected man and always there with a hand up," says commissioner "Jacqueline Pruner".

"After meeting the family and finding many reasons to honor this local hero, De L "Esprie, accepted the challenge. More than a year of hard work ensued. The family donates their time to provide research. Plans to donate the statue to the City of Thousand Oaks formalize. The creation is now complete and installed at the emergency room entrance of the Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, California. Currently covered for the unveiling and dedication ceremony set for April 15th, 2011," says Marraccino. Delesprie hopes the life-size recreation of Donald Pruner, forever formed in bronze, will evoke-emotion, inspire the many lives he touched and help fill the void his passing created," says Marraccino.
